ABOUT PERU


Peru
Peru is a country located in the western part of South America. It's bordered on the north by Colombia and Ecuador, on the east by brazil, on the southeast by Bolivia, on the south by Chile, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. The Peruvian territory is known for it's rich biodiversity and the large amount of minerals resources it has.
One feature of Peru is that there was a lot of cultural mixing, therefore  nowdays is very diverse. The most widely used language is spanish, but a large amount of peruvians still use native languages like Quechua or Aymara. Peru's economic activities are mainly in mining, fishing, textile manufacturing and export of agriculture.

Peruvian Gastronomy
Peruvian cuisine is considered one of the richest and one of the most diverse in the world. It's the product of the mixture of different cultures that migrated to Peru in the nineteenth century such as African, Japanese, Chinese, Cantonese and even Italian. All this flavors are fused with the Inca's and Spanish's cuisine and finally achieves in a cuisine that it's revolutionizing the world.
It is said that brings the best flavours of four continents because is a mixed of cooking methods and ingredients form various cultures. However, the ingredients that are mostly used in peruvian gastronomy are the Yellow pepper, Cilantro, Yellow potatoes, Tomato, Corn and others.
